Hi Brothers. I hope that you will try to bring a friend or two to this Open House/Bring-A-Friend Night. As you are aware, we need to have at least three eligible men at this meeting to comply with Grand Lodge Requirements, as this meeting will count towards our Achievement Award for the year. We will have spaghetti and meatballs, a salad and desert too. Bring your close friend or family member that you wish would become a member of the craft. We will do our best to enlighten him on the fraternity and what we believe in. Our Lodge is growing still and we should be accepting two plural petitions at this meeting. Our second meeting will be regular business and we would like to see as many brothers there as possible. As always, we will have a meal just prior to the meeting, at 6:30 pm. Hope to see you at the meetings. y REPORT ON PREVIOUS MEETINGSOn April 17, 2007 Ideal Lodge met with 7 members and one visitor present. Regular business was conducted and the Resolution was read out to change the By-Laws of Ideal Lodge, to reflect that the Lodge would have its domicile fixed at Hammond, LA, Livingston Lodge Hall, and that the Lodge would change its meeting nights to the first and third Tuesdays of each month. A vote of the members present was unanimous and no nays were voiced. However, we voted to hold off changing our by-laws until the end of the year due to our District obligations.
RELIEF: WB George Lupo had a tumor removed and has had problems with the incision healing. He has been traveling to the doctor’s office several times a week to be monitored. His wife Dawn had a hernia repair in March and has since returned to work. Rt. W. J.P. Allen, DDGM 19th Masonic District has had to be placed on dialysis three times a week for two hours each day! Now he has developed a blood infection that landed him in the hospital for several days, but is out and doing fine now. W. B. Terry Cooper has been feeling bad for over three months, but is better now. He has not been visiting many other Lodges lately, but is getting back into the swing of things. J Brothers, please remember the above-mentioned Members & wives in your prayers for a speedy recovery!
